What Moves the Price

Lot size

Square footage of actual turf is the biggest driver. A quarter-acre lot with big mulch beds often mows for less than a smaller lot that is wall-to-wall grass.

Terrain and slopes

Steep grades, ditches, and terraced yards take more time and specialized handling — common around Smithville Lake and the Platte City hills.

Trim work and obstacles

Fence lines, playsets, trees, and landscape beds all add weed-eating and edging time. Wide-open backyards price lower than obstacle courses.

Frequency

Weekly service costs less per visit than every-2-weeks because we're cutting half the growth each time. Weekly also keeps clippings light enough to mulch cleanly.

Local Pricing, Local Knowledge

We run dedicated routes along the Highway 92 corridor — Smithville, Platte City, Kearney, Edgerton, Plattsburg — plus southern Clay County routes through Liberty and Gladstone. Dense routing is why our pricing stays competitive: less windshield time means better prices for every yard on the route.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the $45 small-yard price really all-inclusive?
Yes. For yards up to 5,000 sq ft on weekly service, $45 covers mowing, weed eating, trimming, and edging every visit. There are no fuel surcharges or add-on fees — the price you see is the price you pay.
Why does every-other-week mowing cost more per visit?
Because we're cutting two weeks of growth instead of one. Taller, thicker grass takes longer to cut cleanly and often needs double passes or discharge management. That's why small yards run $66 biweekly versus $45 weekly.
How do I get an exact price for my yard?
Small yards get an instant firm price — no visit needed. For medium and large properties, send us your address through the contact form or call, and we'll do a free walk-through and have a written quote to you within one business day.
Do sloped or hard-to-access yards cost more?
Sometimes. Steep slopes, gated backyards too narrow for a mower deck, and heavy trim work can add time, which is reflected in the quote. We'll always tell you exactly why a price is what it is — no vague upcharges.
